Before I started the raw food diet, I decided to create a plan for the first 4 weeks (the transition for the dog into the raw food diet). The first week of the transition all meals will be Chicken. This is because it will make it easier for the dog to be able to digest the other foods once he gets use to the chicken. The next week i will introduce Green Tripe (the inner lining of a cow's stomach). This is also quite easy to digest and well help the animal to be able to digest the more difficult foods. In the third week I will introduce a new meat item, Heart. Also, i will introduce Liver and Kidney's. These are more difficult to digest that is why you should not introduce them to the diet until the 3rd week. Lastly, in the forth week I will be introducing Bone and Eggs. The Bone is the most difficult to digest that is why you must wait till your pet is used to digesting the meats and that is why it is not introduced until the 4th week. Also, Egg's are slightly difficult to digest because the animal will also be eating the shell.
